UAE-Kazakhstan travel: Air Astana to resume Dubai flights from Almaty and Astana this summer
Services rerouted through Pakistani airspace for operational safety
DUBAI – Air Astana will resume regular flights between Kazakhstan and Dubai later this month, restoring a key international connection for travellers from both Almaty and Astana.
The airline announced that direct services from Almaty to Dubai will restart on 20 June 2026, while flights from Astana to Dubai will resume on 10 July 2026. The carrier said services will operate via Pakistani airspace following the closure of Iranian airspace, ensuring the continued safety and reliability of operations.
Flight frequencies will be increased gradually over the coming weeks.

Almaty-Dubai flights
The Almaty-Dubai-Almaty service will operate on 20 and 21 June before expanding to four weekly flights between 22 and 28 June on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
From 29 June to 5 July, the route will operate six times a week, with no Tuesday service. Daily flights will begin from 6 July.
Astana-Dubai flights
The Astana-Dubai-Astana route will restart with three weekly flights between 10 and 19 July on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Services will increase to four weekly flights from 20 to 26 July, operating on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Between 27 July and 2 August, the route will run five times a week, excluding Mondays and Wednesdays, before moving to daily operations from 3 August.
Options for passengers
Air Astana has also introduced added flexibility for passengers affected by previous schedule changes. Customers whose tickets were rebooked for departures up to 31 July 2026 can switch to an earlier available flight free of charge. The option applies from 20 June for journeys departing from Almaty and from 10 July for flights departing from Astana.
